National Get Online Week 2017 – Monday 2 – Sunday 8 October
National Get Online Week 2017 runs from Monday October 2 – Sunday October 8, and this year, it’s asking you to Try 1 Thing – use the internet to do just one thing you’d normally do in a shop or bank, in a doctor’s or chemist, or even over the phone. Get Online Week is the country’s biggest campaign helping people to improve their digital skills. Now in its eleventh year, Get Online Week 2017 aims to help everyone take their next step to being more confident online – whatever their level of skill – by trying just one new thing online.
We are delivering workshops at libraries throughout Gloucestershire and at location in Gloucester.
Please find some information Here and if you know of residents in your parish communities that could benefit, please let them know of these opportunities. If you require any further information please let me know.
Just for interest, one of our learners Ravi is appearing in the national campaign and was 1 of 6 chosen nationally to appear in the campaign. He is in the centre of the attached promotional material !

It is with great regret that the council has to announce that Councillor Jo Bird has died. She was a very active and supportive councillor who will be greatly missed.
Survey on Rodborough Community Hall
Rodborough Community Hall was originally built as a football pavilion in 1990/91 and it could be said that parts of the hall are cramped and dowdy, little used, poorly-equipped and in need of refurbishment. Your Parish Council is considering options for development or even replacement, in order to better serve Rodborough residents as a vibrant and more active community centre.
We would like to consult parishioners on how they currently use the building, what sorts of activities they would like to see there in the future and how they would like to see these aims achieved. We would be most grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire either Online or via a paper copy here – Hall survey
This can be posted back to us or emailed to email@example.com
Outdoor Adult Gym Equipment.
Rodborough Parish Council is currently investigating getting some outdoor gym equipment for adults and older children installed on the Butterrow West site. This equipment would consist of stations such as exercise bikes, steppers and upper and lower body strengtheners. We’d be very grateful if you could take the time to answer a few simple questions – the survey can be found online Here
GUIDED PARISH WALKS 2017
Every year the parish council, in conjunction with the South Cotswold Ramblers, runs a series of guided parish walks over the summer months. The first is on Thursday 4th May starting at 6.30pm from the Rodborough Community Hall. For a full list and more information, see guided walks
Now that the stretch of road between the Fort and Bowl Hill has been resurfaced, we would like to thank most sincerely the Parish Council members who supported our petition to the County Council for this work to be done. Your support was much appreciated and certainly added weight to the petition.”
